3 DAYS HIDE AWAY

3 days in Bolinao is not enough. No words can express the experience I had there in just three days. it feels like we are transported from another planet. Yes, the pressure is ON but then our mindset is not feeling it like we were having the time of our life.

It's not my first time getting there. I've been there twice with my family but this was my first time going there with somebody else and it was really different and believe it or not I was the leader (after all it was my idea) I'm the one who manage our budget and plan our trip.

There many obstacle and hindrances we conger before we finally go to Bolinao. One of that is the project proposal itself. we had a lot of brainstorming an argument on that but it’s still the proposal is not enough. Anxiety was eating me and I cried a lot thinking how this proposal would turn out. But then it was now finally approved with a little revision

Due to inadequate mindset and excitement our first day tour turned out worst. We forgot that we are there for a project not for a vacation. Are strategies is not that compact and another reason is that we were carried away by astonishing beauty of Bolinao

By the help of Tyong Nong and Manang Mary's family we were able to survive Bolinao.

First on the list is St James Church but unfortunately we cannot go inside because there's a funeral mass and we are wearing shorts. Then we headed to University of the Philippines Marine Laboratory but it was close due to experimental purposes so we went to Mangrove nursery. Mr. Ruben the caretaker welcomes us and elaborates the importance and functions of Mangrove and it was my first time know that those trees are called Mangrove (I feel ashamed). To contribute something we planted Mangrove saplings, and it was as easy as pie (I named my Mangrove Nik-nik). Before we head to our next destination Mr. Ruben let us try kayaking in one of the ponds. It was my first time and I had a lot of fun. Tara Falls and Bolinao Museum are both close because of ongoing renovation so we went to Bolinao Falls. The odds is not in our favor o our way to Bolinao, the rocky road is banging our heads and the heat is toasting us and the we got a little puzzle because Tyong Nong is not familiar with the direction and there is no road sign. Darn it! but all this fades when we reach Bolinao Falls 1, it was so calm and quiet but sort of scary because it feels isolated, like you wouldn't believe there’s a falls in the middle of that jungle. I didn't took a swim, I was scared that there's a monster hidden in the water waiting for me (I'm not delicious for lunch) Bolinao Falls 2 is even better than Falls 1. We had our lunch there and took a dip. I wanted so badly to jump and take a dive but my group mates don't know how to swim properly (when I get back there I promise I will jump). Before going home we had a little talk and we realize that we got a little lost. Our purpose there was to do our project proposal but we end up having fun. I made a decision to end our trip there and do hone to further discuss what's happening. After brain storming we organize our plan and set ourselves for tomorrow.

Our 2 Day is felt great. It was a very productive day indeed. We receive a warm welcome at Punta Rievera Resort. The resort is actually very nice. It has complete accommodation and we had a wonderful conversation with Mr. Anjo, the manager resort. He even let us tried their kayaking, this time it was real and tough kayaking. My shoulder hurts a little after trying it. We receive another warm welcome from the people at Enchanted People (Bolinao residence are so friendly and I love it). We had a story telling with Mrs. Aurora Ferrol-Jimenez, the owner. She told us very thing about their cave and we discover a lot from her. They even let offer us to took a deep but we are running behind our schedule so we say no (when I came back I promise you I'll swim there) Then we heard another story telling with Lolo (I forgot his name) at Cindy's Cave and just like Mrs. Jimenez we discovered a lot. I feel ashamed in what Lolo did to their cave, they shove the floor to remove some sharp stone but removing it made it worst, the floor is now covered with mud and the water turns dark and dirty and now they are having trouble recovering it. The third cave, Wonderful Cave is close because of ongoing renovation (I guess February is not a good month to visit Bolinao) Next destination is second tallest lighthouse in the Philippines. Sadly the lighthouse is closed. We heard that it was too old and the stairs are not that strong to hold us. (I hope they restore this soon, I do whatever it takes just to climb that). Supposedly White beach was our second to the last destination but our Directioner, Jean missed Treasures of Bolinao. So it turned out that white beach was our last. Our stayed in White Beach was the best. We swim, play and fun. I feel really care free and happy. Being on a perfect place with best people felt wonderful. Nothing beats the sunset in Bolinao. It was like the best thing I have ever witness in my 19 years of existence.

Everything must come to an end. It was our third and last day in Bolinao. We have to go home and face reality again. The risk we oath and the money we sacrifice is all worth it. Hoping to be back there soon.
